It is the Mission of Out of the Box Studio & Gallery to be an inclusive creative environment that welcomes all artists and art enthusiasts to work freely, experiment, and share ideas as a community.
About
Out of the Box Studio & Gallery was created to give artists with disabilities the resources and freedom to create without limitation or restriction. It has expanded into a vibrant community arts hub, attracting professional and aspiring artists of all abilities. It offers a working studio space and exhibition gallery. The studio opened in 2006 and the contemporary exhibition space was launched in 2018.
Out of the Box Gallery strives to connect artists and those who enjoy creating through diverse exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and special events. The studio space hosts an accessible environment for any individual to practice their art. Studio members have free or low-cost access through membership to a variety of art-based technologies, equipment, and opportunities.
It is the vision for Out of the Box to serve the whole community, regardless of artistic ability. If you are interested, come in, meet our staff, speak with the artists and volunteers. Here, we value curiosity, experimentation, and collaboration.
