Alternative Screen Printing - Sister Studio Saturdays
In collaboration with the Jamestown Arts Center, OOTB will be hosting the first in a three part series of workshops on Alternative Screen Printing on Sat, July 29th 2023! Use Vinyl to print and re-print your art! (Inks and paper provided. Bring your own fabrics!)

In this 3 hour Alternative Screen Printing workshop, you will learn an intuitive and user-friendly approach to screen printing! Using drawing fluid and screen filler, participants will create a free-hand graphic design on a screen that can be used to print multiple times! This allows you to easily create a series of work using a repeated matrix as your main subject. All materials, including screens, inks, fun backgrounds by OotB artists, and plain paper will be provided. The inks supplied are fabric inks, so they will not wash out of fabric. Students are welcome to bring and print on their own apparel - T-shirts, jackets, pants and more!
If you fall in love with your creation (which many do) you will have the opportunity to purchase your screen for continued printing after the workshop. A list of materials will also be provided, so that you can keep printing at your home or studio!
Feel free to bring in inspiration images for your subject. Line drawings and graphic images work best for this process. Please wear clothing that you don’t mind getting a little ink on!
